How to get to the Royal National College for the Blind
RNC is based in the city of Hereford, in the West Midlands, 15 miles from the border with Wales. We are easily reached by train and car, approximately one hours drive from Birmingham, Cardiff and Bristol.
By rail: RNC is one mile from Hereford Train Station. There are usually taxis waiting at the station entrance. Inter-city rail services link Hereford with Cardiff (1 hour), Bristol (1¼ hours), Birmingham (1½ hours), Manchester (2 hours) and London (2¾ hours).
By road: The College is situated on the corner of Venns Lane and College Road - we recommend that when entering the address on to a Sat Nav or route planner that you input College Road and double check the route you are given. This will ensure you arrive at the main entrance with adequate parking.
From the North
Leave the M5 at Junction 7 (Worcester South) and follow the A440/A4103 to Hereford.
From the South Wales
Leave the M4 at Junction 24 (Newport East), follow the A449/A40 to Ross-On-Wye and the A49 to Hereford.
From the South East
Leave the M4 at Junction 15 (Swindon), take the A419 towards Cirencester, the A417 to Ledbury and the A438 to Hereford.
From the South West
Leave the M5 at Junction 11a (Gloucester North), follow A417 to Ledbury and the A438 to Hereford.
