Volunteer Recruitement closed

The deadline for volunteers applications has now passed, roles and shift patterns are currently being produced and we will be in touch with all applicants very soon.

The last few weeks have seen the event organisors busy meeting over fifty people who have volunteered their services for the Championships.

The local organising committee would like to thank everyone who has shown an interest in volunteering during the event.

A great day for the beautiful game

There is much debate about who coined the phrase the ‘beautiful game’ but everyone who has ever used it – from Pele to Platini – meant pretty much the same thing. Football is a game played by 300 million people across the globe, and enjoyed by millions more. It’s beautiful because it unites people. The teams, communities, and countries too.
