IBSA to hold site inspection
World governing body International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) are to hold a site inspection of the 2010 World Championship venue in Hereford.
President of the IBSA Futsal Technical Committee, Carlos Campos will undertake a detailed site visit of thePoint4, the new multi-million pound campus development at the Royal National College for the Blind along with holding a planning meeting with organisers in February.
Since IBSA was founded in Paris in 1981 they have commissioned and organised several world class sports event for the blind. IBSA is registered as a non-profit making; public interest body based in Spain, and are full members of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
Tournament Director, Jon Dutton said: "We are looking forward to IBSA's visit and are confident that we will pass the inspection with flying colours."
"Everyone at the Royal National College for the Blind appreciates the planning and preparation that is required for the event and have been excellent in working with us on all aspects of the plan.
"With the recent significant investment into the facilities at the College along with our detailed event strategy we believe that we are on track to deliver a truly great event."
