Asian teams qualify for Blind 2010
China defeated hosts Japan by 2 goals to 0 in Tokyo to retain the title of IBSA Asian Futsal champions and qualify for the 2010 World Blind Championships.
The 3rd Asian Championships attracted five countries, with South Korea edging out Iran after extra time and penalties in the vital third place play off match to join China and Japan as qualifiers.
Malaysia finished the event in 5th place.
Tournament Director Jon Dutton said: "It is no surprise to see China advance as Asian Champions - they will be formidable opponents in Hereford.
"You have to feel sorry for Iran - having beaten Malaysia and getting a draw against Japan in the group stages, to lose out on qualification via penalties is tough.
"However, we now look forward to welcoming South Korea, Japan and China to Hereford next August."
